You were given a special time with one you loved as
your own soul...the kind of love that transcends all others.
You didn’t have to be in each other’s presence every minute,
because you knew that soon you would reconnect and
strike that same familiar chord.
Yours was a love so sensitive to one another
you could detect every discordance just by a look,
or the sound of the voice.
No matter where your melody found expression,
your loved one was always sustaining you,
and you knew that by God’s grace,
you were given time to enjoy a brief moment on earth together.

Suddenly you are alone.
In an instant, that pedal tone you grew to hear and dance to is missing.
All you hear is silence. Your melody no longer dances.
Rather it runs and hides beneath the strange,
foreboding sounds that enter your world.
Everywhere you turn, you search for that familiar song, something
that resonates with the deepest part of you...and you cannot find it.

This is but a transitory time, beloved.
Don’t you know that the One who brought forth
such a beautiful song will once again restore it?
You see, love like this never dies.
It is as rare as the flower that rises amidst the snow-covered mountain.
It is holy. It reflects the depth of the One who IS love
and longs to give His children a glimpse of it.
But remember, though this unfamiliar journey seems awkward and
uncertain, it is not forever...and you are not alone.

The day will come when the world as you know it will shift.
It will dim and fade and your soul will be making the transition
to a far more glorious place...where you will never know loss again.
For just as the wave returns once again to gently caress the shore,
so the one you love will return to you.
The difference between the flesh and the spirit is but a breath.
The veil of eternity will lift and once again that melodic harmony that you
thought was all there was, will soar beyond everything you could imagine.
